March 3, 2009FYI- I was just notified by my supplier Lots to Say Baby that all of their pacifiers are in full compliance for the sections that apply to these fantastic products. Here is an excerpt from her email notice to me:

Lots to Say Baby’s number one priority is the safety of all of our products. We have been following the CPSC and CPSIA regulations along with the changes to these regulations very closely and want to assure you of our full compliance. The sections that currently apply to our pacifiers are listed below.
- 16 C.F.R. Part 1511 – Requirements for Pacifiers
- 16 C.F.R. Part 1303 – Ban of Lead-Containing Paint
- CPSIA Section 101 – Children’s Products Containing Lead
- CPSIA Section 108 – Prohibition on Sale of Certain Products Containing Specified Phthalates.”

Lead free toys for your children
November 23, 2007I have children’s toys on my site and I wanted to make sure that the toys that I offer are safe for kids. Here is a copy of what my supplier said,

IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGE
You our customer have every reason to trust the safety of our products. Our products meet all British, European and USA standards for toy safety and are quality controlled to the highest standards. We test continually each of our products to make sure they are safe for children; both in the design and the materials that are used to make them.
All of Galt America products (whether wooden or not) comply with the requirements of EN71 – Part 3, which specifically relates to the migration of certain elements from toy materials (I.e. The Toxicity). The test method is designed to replicate the effect of ingesting the toy components and Lead is one of the 8 elements investigated: the maximum allowable (migrated) level of lead in the toy can’t exceed 90 milligrams per kg. Compliance with EN71-2 demonstrates that Galt America products do not exceed these recommended levels and are therefore considered safe.
All plastic made toys and products are produced without the use of PVC and do not contain phthalates.
